This week, General Motors (GM) has handed over to the United States secret services a whole new fleet of cars, made up of ten high-powered vehicles, which are causing a stir for... unusual reasons.
In the form of a statement issued through official platforms, the organization announces that two of these cars (more specifically, the Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V) have a manual gearbox, an issue that continues to be a real 'headache' in this country.
In total, it is estimated that only 1% of vehicles sold in the US have manual transmissions, and that only 18% of Americans actually know how to drive a car of this type, which is why officers are being trained in Maryland.
"Not everyone can handle a manual gearbox. Having this platform here will allow us to explain how to drive manual vehicles for trips abroad," explained Mark Armstrong, an instructor.
