News to the Minute

Did you know that there is a technology that allows you to safely puncture a tire while driving at 140 km/h? Yes, you read that right... but it is not for everyone. In fact, it is exclusively dedicated to those responsible for carrying out safety tests.

This system is called 'Te.Sense Bloom', was launched by the North American company Koala Technologies and was born from the need to test the ability of a tire to stay on the rim and, therefore, avoid skidding, even when this type of unforeseen event occurs at the worst possible time.

The 'kit' is installed directly on the wheel of the vehicle being tested and includes a central air valve with volume and capacity capable of emulating a sudden loss of pressure, using tubes and connectors screwed to the rim itself.

This system is remotely controlled, meaning that with the mere press of a button, a tire can be completely deflated safely at high speeds in autonomous and semi-autonomous cars.

The company guarantees that 'Te.Sense Bloom' complies with all federal standards, not only in the United States of America, but also in other countries, such as China, according to the specialized portal AutoCar .
