Hamilton without a doubt: "Ferrari is the hardest car I've driven in the rain"

Rain marred the British Formula 1 Grand Prix last Sunday, producing a surprising result. Lewis Hamilton struggled greatly with his Ferrari SF-25 in the conditions at Silverstone.
The British veteran finished fourth, thus achieving his best run of results of the season. However, he missed out on the podium when Nico Hülkenberg finished immediately ahead of him in a theoretically less competitive Sauber.
This was also one of the few occasions this season that it was possible to compete in the rain. And Hamilton admitted, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo, that he faced many adversities: "Every corner was a bump, I lacked stability and lost a lot of time. It's the most difficult car I've driven in these conditions , I have a hard time explaining it," he revealed.
It was far from one of the worst results of the seven-time world champion's career. Nevertheless, the level of difficulty was among the highest: " It was one of the most difficult races of my career , if not the most difficult of my career. I struggled to keep the car on the track from the first to the last lap."
This year hasn't been easy for Ferrari, which has only managed four podiums in 12 major races—all of them driven by Charles Leclerc. Even so, competing at home in Silverstone, Hamilton was hopeful of a top-three finish.
Especially since the Stevenage-born driver hadn't missed a home podium since 2014. This is only the fifth time in his career since 2007 that he's done so at Silverstone.
Precisely halfway through the season, Lewis Hamilton sits sixth in the Formula 1 Drivers' Championship, 16 points behind the driver immediately ahead - his teammate, Leclerc.
In seventh is Mercedes' Andrea Kimi Antonelli, 40 points behind Hamilton - who could risk going an entire year without a podium result for the first time.
