Do you know the difference between these two signs? Be careful, it could cost you dearly

The code test is an unavoidable milestone in the life of any driver, but the truth is that there is a real risk that much of the information gathered after hours of study will disappear over time.
One of the most symptomatic cases is related to vertical signage, which often ends up being forgotten, especially when the difference is not very big, as is the case we bring you today. After all, do you still remember what the two signs in the image above mean?
Let's take it one step at a time. The one on the left is a D6 sign, which is for lanes reserved for public transport vehicles, and the one on the right is an H20a sign, which is for stops for public transport vehicles.
A (very) important distinction to take into account, since if you ignore the first one and drive on the so-called Bus route, you could face a fine of between 60 and 300 euros, as well as the deduction of two points on your driving license and even a driving ban of up to one year.
There are, of course, exceptions. You can use these roads in emergency situations, to enter garages or access private areas and to change direction, and since April 2025, they can also be used by motorcycles.
