The Peugeot 408 is beginning to make a new mark on the Argentine market. After several years, the midsize model is back on sale in the country, although this time with a completely different silhouette and equipped with a huge amount of technology.

Far from the Peugeot 408 that the French brand manufactured in Argentina between 2010 and 2021, the model now arrives imported from Europe with a style that not only differentiates it from many cars that could be its competitors, but also distances it quite a bit from the concept proposed by the model of the past.

While the national 408 was a sedan of classic proportions, the new 408 GT showcases a modern concept that seeks to combine the elegance of a sedan, the robustness of an SUV, and the sportiness of a coupe, becoming an attractive crossover.

From today it is sold in a single version that is offered at a price of $52,200 .

Based on the EMP2 modular platform, it draws attention with its striking bodywork surfaces, where planes, edges, folds, shapes, grilles, LED lights, and black plastics create a striking appearance.

It is part of the concept that the company called i-Cockpit, which in this model is completed with a 10-inch digital instrument panel with 3D technology, a 10-inch multimedia screen and another touch surface (called "I-toggle") located below with some shortcuts (navigation, telephone, climate control) that can be configured and chosen according to each user's preference.

Finally, further down is a row of analog controls that also provide shortcuts to some climate control functions (defrosters, for example) or the hazard lights, among others.

Another special feature of the cabin are the front seats, which have been certified by the AGR (Aktion für Gesunder Rücken) by an independent German association of experts in ergonomics and back health.

In terms of equipment, it's worth highlighting the number of driver assistance features it offers: adaptive cruise control with Stop&Go, autonomous emergency braking, a night vision system with animal, person, and cyclist recognition, and blind spot and cross-traffic alerts, among others.
