Togg does not give up the lead

Togg ranked first in the brand rankings in the electric car market in Turkey with 17,101 sales and 20 percent market share in the first half of the year. According to information compiled by AA correspondent from the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD) data, automobile and light commercial vehicle sales in Turkey increased by 5.2 percent in the first half of the year compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 607,977. Automobile sales increased by 5.4 percent in the said period, reaching 488,033, while light commercial vehicle sales increased by 4.3 percent, reaching 119,974. "FULLY ELECTRIC" CAR SALES INCREASED BY 138.4 PERCENT In the January-June period, the number of "fully electric" car sales increased by 138.4 percent, reaching 84,956. The share of fully electric cars in total sales increased from 9.1 percent to 27.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, while the share of hybrid cars increased from 12.4 percent to 24 percent. When "fully electric," "extended range electric," and "hybrid" vehicles are considered in the first half of the year, it is seen that 44.6 percent of the total market consists of vehicles with an electric motor. T10X OUTPUT ITS CLOSEST COMPETITOR BY NEARLY 5 THOUSAND According to ODMD data, Togg, whose rise continues among electric car brands, maintained its market leadership in the first half of the year. With 17,101 sales in the first 6 months of the year, Togg outpaced its closest competitor by 4,781. During this period, Togg's electric car market share was recorded as 20 percent. In the January-June period of last year, 13,021 Togg T10Xs were sold. THE MOST SOLD ELECTRIC BRANDS When we look at the electric car market on a brand basis, Tesla came in second with 12,320, BYD came in third with 10,401, KIA came in fourth with 5,539 and MINI came in fifth with 5,521 after Togg in sales in the January-June period. When we look at it on a model basis, the sales rankings in the said period were as follows: Togg T10X, Tesla Model Y, MINI Countryman, KIA EV3 and BYD Atto 3. JUNE SALES On the other hand, when we look at June alone, in the fully electric car market of 25,828 units, Tesla came in first with 7,235 sales and BYD came in second with 3,361 sales. and Togg came in third with 3,098 sales. Citroen came in fourth with 2,469 sales, while Peugeot came in fifth with 1,174 sales.
