Fire breaks out in paint workshop in Avcılar

A fire broke out at around 09:30 for an unknown reason in the car paint and bodywork workshop on Uran Street in the University Neighborhood of Istanbul's Avcılar district.

The flames quickly grew and engulfed the entire workshop. Police, fire department and emergency medical teams arrived at the address after people who saw the flames rising from the shop reported them.

The fire, in which explosion sounds were heard from inside the store, was extinguished with the intervention of firefighters.

In the fire, two cars in the shop were burned and became unusable.

During the medical team's checks, it was understood that no one was injured.

An investigation has been launched into the fire. The fire in the workshop was recorded by another workplace's security camera and by the mobile phones of those around.
