Button: How Norris behaves after Canada will be crucial for him

Lando Norris was retired after contact with Oscar Piastri in the final laps of the race.
The result dealt a serious blow to their title challenge, leaving them 22 points behind their Australian team-mate.
Jenson Button told Sky Sports F1 that this could be a turning point in Norris' mental toughness.
"This is the moment where we'll see if Lando is in a good place mentally."
"We'll see how he comes out of this kind of situation."
"He's someone who is confident in his abilities and he seems to be giving it his all. So it'll be exciting to see how he bounces back from that incident."

Both Norris and Piastri stated that peace within the team had to be maintained after the incident and that disrupting the team atmosphere at a time when McLaren was fighting for the championship would not benefit anyone.
But Button stressed that such an opportunity may not come again in the long term and that neither driver should miss the chance: "I like this team fight because it's a world championship fight. They're fighting hard and that's a good thing."
"But they need to seize this moment. Because you never know when the next opportunity will come. Especially with the changes in 2026, these opportunities could disappear in an instant."
"They're both fighting for the world title at the moment, but these kinds of accidents happen. Lewis and I crashed into each other on the same straight 14 years ago! These things happen in this sport."
