Xpeng has already sold 500 cars since arriving in Portugal

After entering Portugal less than a year ago, Xpeng has already reached the milestone of 500 cars sold . In August, it set a new delivery record.

An Xpeng G6 was the vehicle that marked the milestone of reaching 500 sales . The delivery, marked in a special way, took place at Caetano X in Porto.

Last August, the Chinese manufacturer managed to sell 83 units in Portugal (data from ACAP - Portuguese Automobile Association), which represents a monthly record.

The Xpeng G6

The all-electric coupe SUV is the Chinese manufacturer's best-selling model in Portugal. There are two battery options : a 66 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery, which can provide a range of 582 km (WLTP urban cycle) and is paired with only the RWD Standard Range engine; and an 87.5 kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese battery, which can provide a range of 708 to 773 km. Charging from 10 to 80 percent can be completed in 20 minutes.

There are three available engines : RWD Standard Range, with rear-wheel drive and 258 hp; RWD Long Range, with 286 hp and extended range; and the highest-performance AWD Performance version, with all-wheel drive, 476 hp and the possibility of taking 4.1 seconds between 0 and 100 km/h.

All variants feature a 14.96-inch touchscreen as the base of the onboard infotainment system and can seat up to five people (driver included). The seats are enveloping, cloud-like, and the driver's seat features power adjustment and lumbar support. The front seats are ventilated and heated.

For smartphone users, there's a dual induction charger in the front. The trunk can hold up to 571 liters, in a car equipped with a tow bar and with a maximum payload of 528 km (518 kg in the all-wheel-drive version).

The Xpeng G6 is a coupe SUV with aerodynamic and sporty lines, based on the SEPA 2.0 platform. In Portugal, the model starts at €38,200 plus VAT (total, €46,986).
