Moto3: At the Catalan GP, David Almansa takes his first pole in the category

The classification carried out on Saturday morning (06) in Catalonia was led by the Spaniard David Almansa who won his first pole in the category with a time of 1min46s877, beating Ángel Piqueras and Kelso.
How was the classification?In Q1, Piqueras advanced safely, securing his place alongside Yamanaka, Foggia and Buchanan for the next stage of qualifying.
In Q2, Almansa shone in the final minutes and secured pole position in Catalonia. The decisive phase of qualifying began with heavy traffic, with 18 drivers trying to improve their times in the final 15 minutes. Adrián Fernández took the temporary lead with a time of 1:47.235, followed by Piqueras, Almansa, and championship leader Rueda.
After a quick pit stop for final adjustments, the riders returned to the decisive straight. Piqueras clocked a time of 1:47.086, taking the lead for the moment, but Almansa outpaced them all with a time of 1:46.877, securing pole position for Leopard, Honda's first of the Moto3 season.
