The new BYD Super Hybrid made its European debut. Coming soon to Portugal

The BYD Seal 6 DM-i Touring is coming. This car, revealed to the European public at the IAA Mobility in Munich, is the second of its kind from the Chinese manufacturer. It will be available on the Portuguese market in September .
The model is a plug-in hybrid station wagon with a claimed range of 1,350 km (WLTP). The 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine produces 99 hp and is paired with two electric motors.
The Comfort variant can travel up to 100 km in pure electric mode (or 50 km in Boost). The difference lies in the battery, which has a larger capacity (19 kWh versus 10 kWh). Charging can be done at home with alternating current, and also with direct current on the 19 kWh variant.
In terms of design, the front grille is inspired by ocean waves, featuring a sculpted lower grille with chrome accents. The front headlights are L-shaped, while the LED taillights are C-shaped.
The alloy wheels are 18 inches, and the trunk can be opened electrically without hands, thanks to sensors. The roof has bars for carrying equipment such as bicycles or surfboards.
Inside, you'll find a spacious cabin, also inspired by the oceans. A floating 12.8- or 15.6-inch screen (varies by model) sits in the center, and a smaller one behind the steering wheel serves as the instrument panel. This steering wheel, which, on higher trim levels, can be heated, incorporates an electronic gear selector and buttons for controlling various functions (such as call management).
The seats are upholstered in premium materials and are adjustable, ventilated, and heated, as well as having memory position. The panoramic roof is another highlight.
Driving assistance and safety systems include adaptive cruise control, driver fatigue management, front and rear cross-traffic alert, lane keeping assist, parking sensors and parking cameras.
