New third-generation Audi Q5 arrives at the end of the year; meet

Audi has already made its move: it will begin bringing the third generation of its Q5 midsize SUV to Brazil in the last quarter of the year, between October and December. It will replace the current second generation, already a veteran, which has been in Brazil for eight years. The first generation was here between 2009 and 2017.

What is the New Audi Q5 like? This third-generation Q5 continues to be manufactured in Mexico, and maintains both body styles: SUV and Sportback, the latter a coupe. Its European launch took place about a year ago, already featuring Audi's new modular platform, the PPC (Premium Combustion Platform), which replaces the MLB.
In terms of dimensions, the new Q5 remains very similar to its predecessor: it's around 4.70 m long, 1.90 m wide, 1.65 m tall, and has a wheelbase of exactly 2.82 m. Visually, however, the body now features the German brand's new lines: more fluid, rounded, clean, and discreet. The interior is quite similar to the new-generation A5, which debuted in Brazil a few weeks ago.
On the outside, Audi promotes a more aerodynamic and confident design, reinforced by the wheels, which range from 17" to 21" in diameter, depending on the configuration. The cabin, meanwhile, is driver-focused, with an 11.9" digital dashboard, 14.5" multimedia system, and, in the more advanced versions, a third 10.9" entertainment screen for the front passenger. There's also a configurable head-up display. This formula is very similar to that of the new A5 and A6 e-tron.
Given its similar dimensions, the Q5 should maintain the same level of interior and trunk space as it does today. However, it features newly designed seats, new finishes, more storage, and capacity for "three people to comfortably fit in the rear seat," according to Audi. Highlights include an induction cell phone charger with ventilation and 15 watts of power, while the rear USB ports reach 100 watts. Laptops can be charged.
The interior of the new-generation midsize SUV also features interactive and customizable LED lights, while the front features new LED headlights with a matrix beam, which divides the light focus into different points, adapting according to the driving situation.
2.0 turbo engine and all-wheel driveIts mechanical configuration here will be the same as the New A5. It includes a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine under the hood (a new generation of the veteran EA-888), delivering a good 272 hp of power and 40.8 kgfm of torque, curiously the exact same figures as the 2.0-liter Hurricane, also turbocharged gasoline, from Stellantis. The Audi's transmission is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and all-wheel drive (Quattro).

Currently one of the best-selling Audi models in Brazil, the Q5 SUV will be available at the brand's 40 dealerships across the country later this year. It will be unveiled in the last quarter of 2025.
