MotoGP: In an IMPECCABLE performance, Marco Bezzecchi wins the sprint in Misano

Homegrown talent Marco Bezzecchi, who has been making a name for himself with Aprilia, secured his first sprint victory of the season during the San Marino and Riviera Grand Prix. Despite being overtaken by Marc Márquez, and the Spaniard making a mistake that resulted in a crash, Bezzecchin, who had taken pole position, drove a confident race to victory. Álex Márquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio completed the top three in Misano.
In addition to breaking Ducati's streak of sprint victories, Marco Bezzecchi achieved a sprint victory in 812 days. He only won at the Dutch GP in 2023, just as the sprint race was introduced in MotoGP.
How was the race?
Marco Bezzecchi, the home driver and pole-sitter, held off pressure from Alex Márquez and Marc Márquez to maintain the lead. Marc Márquez, who started fourth, quickly climbed through the pack and caught up with Bezzecchi. Early in the race, Fabio Quartararo, who had also started well, crashed.
On lap 7, Marco Bezzecchi was unable to withstand the pressure from Marc Márquez after a mistake and was overtaken by the Spaniard, however, in the sequence, Marc Márquez also made a mistake and fell alone, abandoning the race.
The sprint was practically non-existent, and there was almost no competition within the pack. With three laps remaining, Morbidelli was putting pressure on his teammate Fabio Di Giannantonio for third place, but Diggia held on well and maintained third place.
