Christian Horner has definitively ended his tenure at Red Bull. The decision was announced after the former team principal reached a multi-million dollar settlement for his termination fee. According to BBC Sport, the figure is around R$375.6 million, which would be one of the largest payments in the history of the sport. The team's statement did not disclose the amount.
At the helm of the Formula 1 team since its inception in 2005, the former team principal boasts a successful track record. Under his leadership, eight drivers' titles and six constructors' titles were won.

According to the publication, the Red Bull boss had a salary of 12 million euros per year and his contract was valid until 2030. Despite his successful resume, however, he ended his time at the team surrounded by controversy.

Horner was accused of sexual harassmentIn February 2024, an employee accused him of sexual harassment, and the matter became public, tarnishing his image. Red Bull launched an internal investigation that cleared him of the incident. The same occurred when another lawyer rejected the alleged victim's appeal.
The controversy, however, grew stronger as the lack of results on the track increased pressure on Red Bull. A power struggle within the team's backrooms helped make the situation unsustainable, culminating in Christian's stint at the team after 20 years at the helm.
