In a digital conference with members of Abipeças and Sindipeças, the Chinese brand launched the "BYD Wants to Meet You" campaign to select Brazilian suppliers and develop a local supply chain for its manufacturing unit. In other words, it seems that mass production of units isn't that close yet...

The objective of the conversation with Abipeças and Sindipeças is to achieve a target the brand is aiming for in its domestic manufacturing process: to have 50% Brazilian parts and components in its cars by 2027, meaning "in less than two years." According to the company, nearly 300 associates from dozens of Brazilian companies, both in Bahia and elsewhere, are interested in joining the supply chain of components for their cars.
