The Dutch Red Bull Formula 1 (F1) driver won the sprint race of the 2025 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, on Saturday, in a short, chaotic race marked by accidents and safety cars from start to finish.

From the start, chaos erupted. Nico Hülkenberg, who had started in fourth place, made a mistake that triggered a pile-up involving Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris, and Fernando Alonso. The collision put both McLaren drivers out of contention, a devastating blow for the "papaya" team and great news for Verstappen, who saw his main championship rivals lose points.
