With Lancia Ypsilon HF following the Rome Capital Rally

The Ypsilon Rally4 HF, with its grit and eye-catching design, was undoubtedly the undisputed star of the recent Rally di Roma Capitale, an event that saw the third round of the Lancia Trophy. Equipped with a 212 HP turbo engine, 5-speed Sadev gearbox and adjustable Ohlins suspension, the car demonstrated exceptional performance on a track of over 200 timed km between the historic streets of Rome and the technical challenges of Lazio. Its agility on the tightest bends and stability at high speeds enhanced the qualities of this car which, despite its recent introduction, has already established itself as one of the most competitive vehicles in the rally scene. Ansa Motori followed the Rally di Roma Capitale with the Ypsilon HF, a car where elegance and sportiness blend into a single soul, finding maximum expression in a mix of dynamism and extreme adrenaline. "Returning to the world of rallying has been very positive, because our Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 HF, which we created after a year of development, is probably the best car in its category. It wins in the two-wheel drive category and is a great commercial success: 100 cars sold in five months, an extraordinary result", says Eugenio Franzetti, director of Lancia Corse. At the Rally di Roma, the Ypsilon Rally4 HF was not limited to being a racing vehicle, but also became a symbol of passion and innovation. The drivers tackled the 13 special stages of the route, testing not only the car but also their ability to control and adapt. "We wanted to build a trophy around the car dedicated to all the drivers who have bought and want to race with our car. And in this case too it was a great success: 40 drivers entered, a number that belongs to another era", adds Franzetti, underlining the community aspect that characterized this event. "We were able to create a real community around the Lancia Village, which has become the nerve center of Italian rallies". On the field, the Ypsilon Rally4 HF accompanied Gianandrea Pisani, Davide Pesavento, Denis Vigliaturo and the other protagonists in a no-holds-barred battle in the Master, Junior and Expert categories, where every curve and every timed section counted for the final classification. A race that, although intense, highlighted the level of the car, capable of bringing out the talent of young drivers and challenging the more experienced, making the event even more exciting. "Seeing the return of Lancia to competitions gave me a great feeling", says rally champion Miki Biasion. "I'm happy that we managed to get the brand back to competing, both for the development of the cars and for the great affection that people still have for Lancia. It's a demonstration of how important competitions can be for the future of the brand". The Ypsilon Rally4 HF is not just a racing car, but also a real driving school for young talents. "Absolutely, this car represents the entry level into the world of motorsport, but it is still a real racing car," says Franzetti. "We have made rally cars more accessible without compromising performance. Customers now have a car that teaches them how to use a manual gearbox and pedals, at a low cost, starting from 38,900 euros, but without sacrificing safety and power." This combination of performance, accessibility and passion for motorsport is the beating heart of the Lancia Trophy, which continues to grow and train new champions. "The young drivers who participate in our trophy are proving to be improving race after race, not only in terms of speed, but also on a human level," says Biasion. "They are maturing, they are learning to race with passion, and some of them could really become the champions of the future."
