Dacia Duster, 5 different drive modes for all conditions

Dacia Duster, 5 different drive modes for all conditions

The new Duster is available with 4x4 traction and Terrain Control which can be managed through 5 driving modes: Auto (the system automatically manages the torque between the front and rear axles based on grip and speed), snow (optimises trajectories on slippery roads thanks to specific stability control and traction control system settings), mud and sand (for driving on unstable surfaces, such as muddy or sandy paths), off-road (very similar to the 4x4 lock mode of the current Duster, it automatically and optimally distributes the torque between the front and rear wheels depending on the grip conditions detected and the speed of the vehicle). To these is also added the 'Eco' variant, which allows you to optimise fuel consumption by acting on the climate control and vehicle performance. It optimises the distribution of torque between the front and rear axles to limit fuel consumption. The downhill speed control system is particularly useful in the case of off-road driving and steep and slippery descents. It acts mainly on the brakes to prevent loss of control of the vehicle and thus ensure the right speed (depending on the driver's input) from 0 to 30 km/h. The system works on all gear ratios, including reverse. The driver no longer has to worry about the accelerator and brake pedals, but only the steering wheel to direct the vehicle. Lots of particularly useful information for off-road driving appears on the 10.1" central display: - Left/right lateral inclination angle of the vehicle - Pitch angle to evaluate uphill and downhill slopes - Torque split between the front and rear axles (in the all-wheel drive version).
