The Ferrari Testarossa is back. Now it's a plug-in hybrid. It's the successor to the SF90.

The Ferrari 849 Testarossa takes the characteristics of the SF90 and also updates the hybrid architecture with a completely revised V8 equipped with a larger turbo, derived from the F80. This has allowed for a 50 hp increase in performance compared to the previous version, for a total of 1,050 hp. This is combined with an eight-speed dual-clutch F1 gearbox optimized for maximum performance and a unique soundtrack.
The hybrid powertrain consists of an electric motor at the rear and two electric motors installed on the front axle, capable of delivering 220 hp. The 7.45 kWh lithium-ion battery provides an electric range of 25 km and, thanks to its positioning, ensures a low center of gravity and optimal weight balance.
Performance is that of a true sports car, with 0-100 km/h covered in 2.25 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h.
The new Maranello car is also characterised by its style, obviously born from the creative genius of the design team led by Flavio Manzoni.
Coupé and spider were created with the same organic approach, that is, without too many details.
Characteristic are the two tails at the rear which give the impression of pushing the passenger compartment forward.
The doors are very distinctive, designed with a specific goal: to allow as much air as possible to reach the rear engine compartment. To achieve this, they were hot-stamped, creating a very deep cavity for the air to flow through.
The models unveiled during the international presentation featured two new body colors: Rosso Fiammante, an evolution of the historic Rosso Corsa shade; and Giallo Ambra, an intense, warm hue with reddish undertones, inspired by the depth and richness of natural amber.
The jewel in the crown of this powerful berlinetta's engineering is the Ferrari Integrated Vehicle Estimator (Five), a system capable of accurately estimating non-directly measurable parameters such as vehicle speed (within 1 km/h) and side slip angle (within 1°), improving traction control, management of the electronic differential, and the power delivery of the e4WD all-wheel drive system. This data feeds into all vehicle dynamics controls, making the response more precise and repeatable.
