Stellantis looks to the future with Opel and Leapmotor at the Munich Motor Show.

MONACO – Stellantis has chosen the Opel and Leapmotor brands to participate in the Monaco Motor Show. The group's exhibition space thus proves to be the best place at the entire event to capture the essence of the new automotive Europe.

The historic German brand Opel and the new Chinese brand Leapmotor, which joined the group through a joint venture established in 2024 with the emerging Asian manufacturer, are positioned side by side, symbolically summarizing what's visible when walking through the stands. The Bavarian show is characterized by the return of traditional automakers seeking collective contact with the public (excellent news for car enthusiasts and the opportunity to compare styles and models that only a motor show can provide), by the now inseparable link with the world of technology, and—most importantly—by the presence of a large number of Chinese brands and companies active throughout the supply chain.

Opel is presenting two world premieres, one of which merges the real and virtual worlds. The Opel Corsa GSE Vision Granturismo, an electric super sports car physically present on display as a prototype, is now digitally drivable by anyone within the PlayStation Granturismo game. Its claimed technical specifications include 588 kW (800 hp) of system power, 800 Newton meters of torque, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.0 seconds, and a top speed of 320 km/h. "The Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is our vision for the future of the GSE brand," says Mark Adams, Vice President, Design, Opel.

The other debut is the Opel Mokka GSE, also electric, which with its 207 kW (281 hp) of power brings the brand's rally experience directly to the dealership. With 345 Newton meters of torque, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h, it is the fastest electric Opel in the range. Available to order now in Germany, it will soon be available in Italy as well. In addition to the new GSE models, the new all-wheel drive version of the top-of-the-range Opel Grandland SUV will also be presented in Munich, with a maximum power of 239 kW (325 hp) and maximum torque of 509 Newton meters.

The Opel Grandland AWD Ultimate is already available to order and—according to data provided—can travel up to 489 kilometers on a full charge. "We will soon launch a fully electric Opel Grandland variant with a range of 700 kilometers in the homologation cycle," says Opel CEO Florian Huettl.

Leapmotor, a brand with exclusively electric models, is also presenting a world premiere, unveiling the Leapmotor B05, derived from the Lafa5 model already present on the Chinese market, together with the commercial launch in Europe of the Leapmotor B10 compact SUV, whose deliveries in our continent begin right at the same time as the Munich Motor Show.

The Leapmotor B10 has a launch price of €26,900 and its technological features include a 14.6-inch touchscreen and remote OTA (Over-the-air) software updates.
