Geely, the Chinese giant lands in Italy with Jameel Motors. It starts with electrics but hybrids will arrive

Jameel Motors, which with over 80 years of experience in the automotive industry has established itself as a global reference point as a distributor and provider of mobility solutions, has signed a distribution agreement in Italy with Geely Auto, which has always been recognized as a pioneer in intelligent driving. The agreement marks the debut of both companies in the Italian market with new energy passenger vehicles (NEVs). Italy is one of the most relevant markets in Europe, with strong growth potential in the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector. In the first five months of 2025, registrations of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles accounted for 11% of the total, with an increase of 132% in electric vehicle registrations. Jameel Motors Italia is therefore preparing to introduce cutting-edge automotive technologies, a new range of high-quality vehicles and superior customer service, contributing to the country's transition to increasingly electric mobility. Sib Jameel Motors Italia now plans to launch two flagship models of Geely Auto in the last quarter of 2025: a 100% electric SUV, the Geely EX5 and a plug-in Super-Hybrid SUV. Both have been built on an advanced technological platform that guarantees high standards of safety, performance and quality, as well as offering a 6-year warranty. Jameel Motors Italia aims to develop a network of 100 sales and assistance points throughout the country.

The first features, announced on the occasion of the officialization of the agreement, of the two new models that will arrive in Italy are significant of the competitiveness of the two SUVs that will be launched soon in our country. The Geely EX5, in particular, is an electric SUV credited with a declared length of 4,615 meters and combined with a battery capacity of 60.22 kWh, for an electric autonomy of about 430 km, while the other Geely model, also an SUV, but powered by a powerful Super Hybrid plug-in, is notable for its length of 4,740 meters, with an 18.4 kWh battery that will allow an electric autonomy in the city of 111 km, to which is added a combined autonomy of 940 km, useful for long-range trips. Future plans also include the introduction of a B-SUV with a full hybrid engine.
