Success of the first edition of the MoraBanc Clàssica Andorra, with its epicenter in the Bici Lab Andorra

On June 22nd, Bici Lab Andorra provided the perfect setting for the kickoff of the MoraBanc Clàssica Andorra, the first professional edition of this cycling race held entirely in the Principality. The UCI Europe Tour Category 1.1 event represents a firm step in the effort to consolidate Andorra as an international benchmark in professional cycling competitions.
The project is led by active cyclist Carlos Verona, who has also taken on an organizing role, and has strong institutional support. The initiative was born with a long-term vision: it is expected to continue until 2027, with the goal of elevating the race to Category 1 Pro on the UCI calendar in future editions.

Before the competition began, the Bici Lab Andorra hosted the official team presentation and the signature check, reaffirming its role not only as a museum space but also as a symbolic and media-focused epicenter of the event. In this context, the museum positions itself as a bridge between Andorra's history, sustainable mobility, and cycling culture.
The Clàssica route was spectacular and challenging: it crossed the country's main mountain passes, including Envalira, Ordino, La Comella, and Coll de la Botella, marking a completely alpine and technical route, designed to test both the riders' endurance and strategy.

A total of 21 teams participated, including four World Teams, ten Pro Teams, and six Continental teams, in addition to the Andorran national team, which completed the peloton. Among the most notable names were renowned figures such as Enric Mas, Carlos Verona, Cristian Rodríguez, Tom Pidcock, Rúben Guerreiro, and the winner of the event, Denmark's Mattias Skjelmose.
The neutralized start took place right in front of the Bici Lab, a gesture that symbolizes the fusion of innovation, heritage, and passion for cycling. This cultural space has thus consolidated itself as an icon of Andorran identity and a testament to the strong bond between the country and elite cycling.
The organizers highly praised this first edition, both for the quality of the participants and the region's commitment. The MoraBanc Clàssica Andorra aims to become an essential event on the European cycling calendar and a promotional platform for sports and mountain tourism in the country.
