Stellantis launches a special 10-year/240,000 km warranty for 1.5 BlueHDi engines

Stellantis has announced special, expanded coverage for early generations of its 1.5 BlueHDi diesel engines, specifically those manufactured between October 2017 and January 2023.
This initiative addresses potential issues related to the camshaft chain, offering customers an extended warranty of up to 10 years or 240,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, covering 100% of parts and labor costs under specific conditions.
Additionally, starting in mid-July, Stellantis will go a step further by introducing retroactive reimbursement for European customers who have already incurred expenses due to certain camshaft chain issues.
To request this compensation, those affected can access a dedicated online platform at https://stellantis-support.com , which is also accessible from the websites of the group's brands, including Citroën, DS Automobiles, Opel/Vauxhall, Fiat, and Peugeot.
This reimbursement policy will cover repairs performed between January 1, 2023, and June 30, 2025. To qualify for this special coverage and reimbursement, it is essential that the vehicle's maintenance and diagnostics follow the manufacturer's guidelines and recommendations. In the event of a future incident, diagnostics and repairs must be performed by the brand's authorized network.
Additionally, as part of this comprehensive initiative, Stellantis is also rolling out the Check+ certificate for used vehicles purchased through the authorized Spoticar and Stellantis network. This certificate will inform customers that they will benefit from the same special coverage as new vehicle owners, extending peace of mind to used vehicle buyers.
