Max Verstappen sees a future for Checo Pérez in THIS F1 team.

Following the departure of Mexican driver Sergio "Checo" Pérez from Red Bull, rumors about his possible return to Formula 1 are rife. Fans are eager to see the Guadalajara native back on the track, after he has taken a well-deserved break and time with his family.

In this context, it is believed that the nascent Cadillac team could be responsible for Pérez's return to the top category of motorsports.

With that rumor growing stronger, Max Verstappen —one of the most successful drivers in F1 history and Pérez's former teammate—spoke about the Mexican's possible return.

In an interview with Motorsport, the Dutchman praised Checo and, in passing, recommended that the new team not hesitate to hire him, as he is a driver who delivers results.

"Yes, I think so. I think Checo has always been very strong, I've always gotten along well with Checo, and as long as he remains motivated to race, I think he would be a good choice for a new team like that (Cadillac). Because if you look at what he did with Force India or Racing Point (now Aston Martin), or whatever you want to call it, he always managed to score points." , he mentioned.

Verstappen, who has struggled to find his best form this season, recalled some of his experiences with Pérez, assuring that the decision to return is on the table.

"He's been through some tough times with us, but then again, that seems to happen more often with us. We haven't talked; he has to make his own decision, of course," she concluded.
