Revealed: The updated weather forecast for the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix

The Belgian Grand Prix will see the second half of the Formula 1 season start in earnest, following a short interlude in July.

The weather is always a big talking point at Spa-Francorchamps, and it appears set to be the same in 2025 as mild conditions give way to rain.

While the weekend began with sunshine and clouds on Friday and Saturday, Sunday’s Grand Prix is forecast to be a wet race.

Sunday 27 July – Belgian Grand Prix (15:00)

Early FIA forecasts place a ‘high chance of light intermittent rain’ in the morning, witht the rain becoming ‘moderate’ around midday.

There will be brighter skies with a ‘high chance of showers up to level 3′ in the afternoon, which could play havoc with teams’ strategies if it comes to pass.

A 40% chance of rain is currently listed for the afternoon in Belgium.

A high temperature of 24°C is expected for the race.

Pole-sitter Lando Norris, who beat his team-mate Oscar Piastri by 0.085s, admits he’s hoping for a dry race.

“I mean I prefer it to stay dry honestly,” he said. “Even for the fans. I think it’s rained here for like the last ten years or something. So, it’d be nice to have a dry Sunday.

“It’s probably going to rain. I don’t know much more than that. We’ll wait and see.

“It’s Spa, so high chance of rain, but that can also mean it just sometimes hits half the track and the other half stays dry.

“Could be in for a Silverstone-esque chaotic race, similar to Australia or Silverstone, the ones that are sometimes a bit in the middle. Most likely some rain and drizzle. Hard to know.

“We’re going off the front, so hopefully, I can make an advantage of that and clean air and go from there.”
