Mum says these 3 jobs should be done weekly to keep car clean

Motorists have been urged to do three quick cleaning tips every seven days to keep a car spotless.
Writing on Mumsnet, a road user admitted they secured a professional valet every 12 months but adopts three secrets to keep dirt and grime away throughout the year.
The mother of three said she makes sure to wash the outside of her car weekly but doesn’t stop there.
Hoovering carpets inside the vehicle, collecting rubbish and then washing down windows was also crucial to keeping a vehicle looking its best.
The series of tips was posted on the popular online forum Mumsnet as users discussed how often they cleaned and tidied inside their vehicles.
Mumsnet user @Aug12 said: “I clear out the rubbish and hoover weekly. Wash down inside and sticky fingers off windows etc every other week.
“I wash outside weekly too but my car is always filthy and you would think I never clean it.
“I have 3 small children and a pony so the car is used to carry horse feed etc. We are in the car a lot going to groups/play dates as well so often eat on the hoof which doesn’t help with mess. Professional full valet yearly.”
However, most of the other users admitted they didn’t clean their car nearly as much.
Most suggested they only managed to get around to giving it a property tidy-up every few months.
There are no rules around how clean motorists must keep their vehicles as long as certain areas are always kept clean.
Motorists must ensure their windscreen is clear at all times to ensure they can properly see the road ahead.
Meanwhile, number plates need to be kept dirt-free at all times as they play a vital role in law enforcement purposes.

@WonderingWanda commented: “Before kids every week. Since kids about twice a year...well probably a clean out of rubbish and [discarded] possessions more often, once [per] month but proper clean much less frequent.”
@SleepySundaySloth remarked: “I get rid of any rubbish whenever it needs doing and vacuum it and give it a full clean every couple of months. Car wash every few months, when I’m passing and remember. I’ve never had the inside of a car cleaned professionally.”
