Ivy Has Eyes On Great Lakes Super Sprints Success

MERRILL, Mich. — With the start of the Great Lakes Super Sprints Presented by PERFIT & ARP season on the horizon, Kelsey Ivy (Mange) is ready to make a full-time push toward her best career season.
The Fremont, Ohio, native is preparing for a second season of hyper focus on finding success with GLSS.
The second-generation driver has laid out her goals ahead of the 2025 season, which comes on the heels of a personally successful 2024.
Outside of the nine top-10 finishes and four top fives, she accomplished on the track, Ivy also got married at the end of the 2024 season.
That hasn’t stopped her from setting aggressive, yet attainable, benchmarks this season.
“My team busts their butts for me,” Ivy said. I intend to give them the results they deserve no matter what it takes.”
The 28-year-old believes she let one slip away in 2024. After leading nearly half the race, Ivy settled for third in the final Michigan CAT Division race of the year at Crystal Motor Speedway.
Ivy took the lead from Keith Sheffer, Jr. while holding off eventual Ohio CAT Champion Dustin Daggett. Daggett found speed on the bottom of the track while Ivy was making speed on the outside of the track. After a late race restart, Ivy fell two spots.
“I feel like I will relive that race forever,” Ivy said. “We [also] look forward to going to Eldora — it’s always fun racing at the Big E; and Tri City. We were good there, and I feel like we had a solid chance at winning there.”
Ivy’s goals are laid out in order. First, have fun and enjoy the experience in her family-owned team. Second, capture that elusive first feature win, earn at least five Ti22 Performance Fast Qualifier Awards, chalk up 10 heat race wins, and keep the No.20i inside the top 10 at the end of every race this season.
Ivy anticipates being more hands-on with her team this year, saying her involvement in the car’s maintenance and set-up will show when she’s behind the wheel.
Ivy’s season will begin on Saturday at Crystal Motor Speedway.
