The automotive giant has recalled thousands of vehicles due to brake failure.

According to a statement from Ford, the affected vehicles experience a longer stopping distance than normal due to reduced brake function. This jeopardizes driver safety, especially in situations requiring sudden stops. Authorities stated that the recall is purely a preventative measure and that any necessary inspections will be performed free of charge.
FORD HAS ALSO REQUESTED HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES FOR SERVICEThis is Ford's second major recall in recent years. The company previously recalled more than 291,000 F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty pickup trucks due to a faulty rearview camera.
Ford stated that the 360-degree vision system in these models causes image distortion in certain lighting conditions, causing the driver to be unable to see clearly behind the vehicle. It was also stated that this malfunction could increase the risk of an accident.
FREE UPDATES WILL BE MADE TO SERVICESThe National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that it has begun sending notification letters to owners of vehicles affected by the recall. Ford authorized dealers will perform a software update for the image processing module free of charge.
The company has asked vehicle owners to participate in the recall process to eliminate potential safety risks. Ford's move is part of a recent wave of safety-related recalls across the global automotive industry.
