Lawson took part in a special test programme at Jerez with the RB19

Red Bull has revealed that Liam Lawson has completed a private test at the Jerez Circuit in Spain ahead of his debut with the team.
The test was Lawson’s first drive of the record-breaking RB19 car for the 2023 season.
The drive, which comes ahead of pre-season testing starting on Wednesday, was Lawson’s first experience of the year with a Red Bull car, and also gave the New Zealander the opportunity to work with Red Bull’s new team of engineers and mechanics for the first time, improving his rapport within the team.
Lawson, who has started 11 races for Red Bull's sister team over the last two seasons, has been chosen as Max Verstappen's team mate after his impressive performances. Lawson, who was brought in as Sergio Perez's replacement, has impressed Christian Horner and Helmut Marko in preference to Yuki Tsunoda.
Lawson will make his first official pre-season test with the RB21 in Bahrain on Wednesday afternoon.
