Keanu Reeves to host documentary on Cadillac's 2026 Formula 1 journey

Returning to the documentary scene following the success of his Emmy-winning documentary Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story, Reeves will take audiences behind the scenes of this new American-based F1 team.
The Cadillac Formula One Team, a partnership between TWG Motorsports and General Motors, is being built out of six different warehouses at Silverstone. While work is progressing rapidly on the temporary headquarters, the team’s permanent headquarters are being built in Fishers, Indianapolis. This challenging start-up will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at building a team from scratch in a highly competitive sport like Formula One.
TWG Motorsports and GM worked with Reeves’ production company KR+SH Productions and North One to gain full access to the production. “It is a great honor and a great thrill to tell the story of the Cadillac Formula One Team,” Reeves said of his excitement for the project.
“With this docuseries, we want to give viewers a window into the heart of that journey and show them what it takes to make it in the world’s most elite sporting arena.”
Cadillac’s initiative aims to strengthen the American presence in the Formula One world, which has traditionally been dominated by European teams. The documentary will explore both the technical and strategic aspects of this special effort, while also focusing on Formula One’s growing fan base in the U.S. and around the world.
TWG Motorsports CEO Dan Towriss explained the meaning of the project: “This is a story of bold vision and relentless effort. Keanu’s passion and knowledge of racing brings great value to this project. We want to bring the next generation of F1 fans along for the ride.”
“General Motors and TWG Motorsports have come together with the mission to build a unique American Formula One team,” said GM Chairman Mark Reuss. “We are thrilled to have Keanu Reeves document this journey.”
The documentary is scheduled to air before the 2026 season's opening race in Australia.
