Classic car fair opened in Sivas

Classic cars were exhibited at the event held in the garden of the Atatürk Congress Museum.
At the event, which attracted great attention, automobile enthusiasts examined the timeless vehicles and took photos.
The vehicle owners also provided visitors with information about their cars. Sivas Governor Yılmaz Şimşek and Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Şahin Ertem also attended the event.
Şimşek, who examined the classic cars brought from various provinces, including Sivas, stated that the event added color to the 106th anniversary celebrations of the Sivas Congress. "THERE WERE CELEBRATIONS THAT WERE LIKE A CULTURAL FESTIVAL" Governor Şimşek, noting that the September 4th Sivas Congress was a very meaningful day, said, "It was the anniversary of the Sivas Congress, where important decisions were made towards the liberation of our nation. We celebrated this day and the week that encompasses it with a number of events.
We launched our events on Monday and spread them throughout the week. The events were met with great public interest. In a sense, the celebrations were akin to a cultural festival. Hopefully, we'll continue in the same vein in the coming years.
"We're trying to turn September 4th into a cultural festival, in a sense. Today is the last day of our programs. On the last day, we're hosting classic car enthusiasts in our city. There are also people from our city participating, and they've added a touch of color to our programs. I thank classic car enthusiasts for attending the fair and letting us experience a glimpse of the past," he said.
