BYD will open its factory at the end of this year

Chinese automotive giant BYD said in a statement that the company will start production at its new electric vehicle factory in Hungary by the end of 2025. "This shows that we are here to stay in Europe," BYD Vice President Stella Li said at a press conference at the Munich auto show. The news came after Reuters reported in July that BYD was considering postponing mass production in Hungary until 2026 and operating the plant below capacity for at least the first two years.
