Volkswagen will reopen registration for the visit program to the Anchieta factory in São Bernardo do Campo (SP) this Friday (1). Opened 15 days ago, the attraction had its two-month slots sold out in four hours. The new schedules include sessions – free and lasting approximately two and a half hours – starting in October.
The main demand came from collectors wanting to visit the Volkswagen Garage , a 1,430 m2 space in Wing 5 reserved for historic models of the brand, such as the last Kombi produced in Brazil (a white Standard from December 2013), the 1991 Santana EX used for homologation tests and the 1997 Beetle convertible made especially to celebrate the second and definitive farewell of the model.
"I've been following Volkswagen's history for years. Our family has a 1982 Passat LS since it was brand new and three generations of Beetles: an Itamar, a New Beetle, and a TSI, all preserved as they left the factory. We tried to register when they opened, but there were no more dates available," says collector Noel Alexandre Agápito.

Visits—always on Thursdays at 8:30 a.m. or 1 p.m.—must be scheduled on the program's official website . There is no waiting list, according to the company.
In addition to the Volkswagen Garage, the tour also covers key aspects of the vehicle manufacturing process, such as Stamping, Frame, and Final Assembly. The Anchieta factory currently produces the Novo Nivus, Nivus GTS, Polo Track, Virtus, and Saveiro models.
