Two car manufacturers are among the 15 companies with the highest revenue in the world

Fortune magazine has published its regular Fortune Global 500 ranking, which lists the 500 largest companies by revenue. Volkswagen and Toyota are among the top 15 .
The German manufacturer remains in 12th place , with recorded revenues of 351,093 million dollars (up 0.8 percent) and profits of 12,275 million dollars (down 31.6 percent).
Then, in 15th place, is Toyota Motor, with revenues of $315.11 billion (up one percent) last year. Profits fell 8.6 percent to $31.257 billion .
Expanding the analysis to the top 50, we find other automotive companies, such as General Motors (35th), Ford Motor (36th), Stellantis (40th), Mercedes-Benz Group (48th), and BMW Group (49th). China's BYD ranks 91st, while Tesla ranks 106th.
The list is led by American supermarket giant Walmart ($680.985 billion) for the 12th consecutive year, followed by Amazon ($637.959 billion).
This batch of the top ten companies also includes oil companies, the Chinese state-owned electricity grid, a technology company, two from the healthcare sector, and is rounded out by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway (371,433 million dollars).
The 500 companies listed recorded $41.7 billion in sales, a 1.8 percent increase. According to Fortune, they employed over 70 million people.
