After introducing the more affordable version of the Model Y, Tesla is revamping the Model S and Model X , which are now available in Portugal with improved versions. Orders are already open, but deliveries won't begin until November.

Pioneers in several aspects among electric cars, these two Teslas have been updated, now receiving new improvements four years after the last major update.

This new update features a quieter cabin and improved insulation against wind and road noise. Acoustically, the car also features improved active noise cancellation, thanks to more effective insulation—including new materials and a new chassis design.

On the other hand, occupants enjoy dynamic ambient lighting and a new user interface, while the Model X has a third row with additional shoulder room.

There are new wheel designs, in 19- and 21-inch sizes on the Model S and 20- and 22-inch sizes on the Model X. The cars come with a camera integrated into the front bumper, revised air suspension and new low-resistance tires.

In terms of technological features, drivers can count on blind spot warning and adaptive headlights. The Tesla Model S, like the Model X, promise greater range and efficiency , as well as "more consistent performance in hot and cold climates."

In terms of performance, the all-wheel-drive Tesla Model S boasts a range of 464 miles (744 km) in the WLTP cycle in the standard version with 19-inch Magnetit wheels. It can reach a top speed of 155 mph (240 km/h) and accelerates from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.2 seconds.

The Model X , also with all-wheel drive, has a claimed range of 600 km if the customer opts for the 22-inch Machina wheels. Top speed is also 240 km/h , and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 3.9 seconds.

The Tesla Model S Plaid features a revamped front end , including a rear splitter for increased stability at high speeds. At the rear, there's a carbon fiber spoiler for improved stability and an updated diffuser design.

The rotors are wrapped in refined carbon, and there are also new stabilization components. Owners enjoy free unlimited Supercharger charging and Premium connectivity.

The car has a range of 611 km (378 miles) in the WLTP cycle with the 21-inch Velarium wheels that are standard equipment. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes 2.1 seconds. The top speed is 262 km/h (164 mph) , but reaches 322 km/h (208 mph) with the optional carbon-ceramic brake kit.

As for the Plaid version of the Tesla Model X , it promises a top speed of 262 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds. The range is 567 km if the vehicle is equipped with the optional 22-inch Machina wheels.

Prices

In terms of pricing, the renewed Tesla Model S is available starting at 109,990 euros . As for the Model X, it starts at 114,990 euros .
