The 18-year-old got too carried away with his joy. He passed his driving test and immediately lost his driving license.

An 18-year-old from the Zdzieszowice commune displayed exceptional irresponsibility and lost his driving license just hours after passing his driving test. The teenage driver sped through a built-up area at 102 kilometers per hour and was stopped by the local SPEED group. It quickly became clear that this wasn't his first violation of traffic regulations.

The Krapkowice District Police Headquarters reported the incident. Officers from the local SPEED group were conducting routine speed checks on provincial road 423 in the town of Obrowiec.

"A moment after 11 a.m., officers noticed a Seat passenger car, the driver of which was driving at a speed of 102 km/h in a built-up area. The officers immediately stopped the vehicle for inspection," Krapkowice police officers said in a press release.

Obrowiec. 18-year-old loses his driving license in just a few hours

It turned out that the Seat was being driven by an 18-year-old man who, just hours earlier, had received a provisional driving license valid for 30 days until the proper document was received. He passed his driving test in Opole that same day.

According to applicable regulations, for exceeding the speed limit in built-up areas by 50 km/h or more, police officers are obliged to confiscate the driving license for three months.

But that wasn't the only problem the young driver had. The 18-year-old had previously committed a similar offense while riding a scooter. Therefore, he broke the law as a repeat offender. Therefore, in addition to losing his license, the police issued the teenager a 3,000 złoty fine and added 13 penalty points to his license.

Police officers appeal for caution on the roads

Krapkowice police took the opportunity to remind drivers about safe driving habits. In their message, they addressed young drivers in particular, reminding them that speeding can contribute to serious accidents and is punishable by harsh penalties.

"There is no room for recklessness on the road. Failure to comply with the regulations may result not only in a fine, penalty points, or loss of driving privileges, but also contribute to a tragedy," the statement reads.
