The vehicle from China that has snatched the title of safest electric car on the market from Tesla

The electric vehicle brand Tesla is going through one of its toughest times since its inception. The political foray of its founder, South African tycoon Elon Musk, is impacting the car company.

The drop in sales in places like the European Union , which continues to decline each month, is compounded by boycotts by activists against these cars due to the measures Musk is implementing within the Donald Trump administration.

One of the latest bad news Tesla has received concerns one of its flagship models: safety. The company has always boasted of having the best parameters, especially in child protection. But a vehicle from China has snatched the crown.

A historic safety rating

This is the Polestar 3, an SUV that has achieved the highest score ever achieved in child protection. According to the Euro NCAP, which measures car safety, it obtained a 93% rating compared to 87% for the Tesla Model Y.

It hasn't just scored highly in terms of child safety. It scores 90% for adult users, 79% for vulnerable individuals, and 83% for driver assistance.
