Yamaha turns 70: the big party on the Varano circuit. The video

VARANO DE' MELEGARI – A great celebration, “Spirit of Challenge” with over 5000 passionate people, united by the desire to take to the track to celebrate one of the most renowned brands in two-wheeled racing.
A celebration open to all, the one that took place on the Varano de' Melegari circuit, which saw the undisputed protagonists of today's and yesterday's motorcycles, with the same identical mission as always, under the banner of "Kando", a Japanese word, the right mix between satisfaction and enthusiasm.

A history that dates back to July 1, 1955, when Yamaha Motor was founded by Genichi Kawakami.
“Since then, we have been passionately creating products for every area of mobility, innovating without compromise - said Andrea Colombi, Country Manager Yamaha Motor Europe NV, Italian Branch. We anticipate people's needs and open up new markets. Today we celebrate a history of successes, both sporting and commercial, a tribute to our customers who have been protagonists. This event is for everyone: men, women and children, so that everyone can live an unforgettable experience”. Innovation, trust, emotions, enthusiasm and bonds: these are the themes that distinguished the party where participants had the opportunity to touch the entire range with their own hands. From road bikes, to the R-Series track bikes, through off-road, ATVs, side-by-sides and e-bikes, with over a thousand test rides carried out during the event.

As with every self-respecting major celebration, the spectacular parade was a must: once again, the protagonists were the motorcyclists who, on board their own vehicles, paraded with vehicles from different years and types: from the iconic TMAX and XMAX sports scooters to the models from the Heritage range, from the TRACER to the MT family, from the R Series to the TÉNÉRÉ.
There was no shortage of entertainment for all ages: performances by drivers on the track, meetings with legends such as Giacomo Agostini, Franco Picco and Stefan Everts, activities for children and families, displays of historic models and technological innovations that have made the history of the brand.

A unique opportunity to get to know the people, values and stories that have made Yamaha an international point of reference.
“Spirit of Challenge was a success - concluded Andrea Colombi - the culmination of the celebrations for our 70 years. We wanted to give customers, partners and enthusiasts a day that encompassed everything that Yamaha represents: experiences, emotions and authentic bonds. Seeing thousands of people, families and different generations united by the same passion shows that our brand embraces unique values and stories”.
