Pirelli Scorpion All Season SF3: Safe and quiet driving all year round for SUVs and crossovers

And when it comes to safety, comfort and performance in all seasons, Pirelli is a point of reference. The latest innovation from the Milanese company is called Scorpion All Season SF3: a four-season tire designed specifically for SUVs, the technological evolution of the award-winning Cinturato All Season SF3.
This new product was born with a clear objective: to bring the versatility, reliability and performance of an “all weather” tire to the segment of high-riding vehicles, which in recent years has seen a constant growth in the preferences of European drivers. And it does so with a sophisticated technological package, designed to face every challenge of the weather and the road.
Confirming its solid performance are the Dekra tests, in which the new Scorpion SF3 obtained excellent results especially in cumulative braking, one of the most indicative tests in terms of safety. The entire range, since its launch, has been classified Class A for wet grip on the European label and has the 3PMSF marking, which certifies its suitability for severe winter conditions. Technical details that tell of a profile suitable not only for mild climates, but also for more complex situations, such as snowy roads or wet and cold asphalt.
Comfort is another strong point: 100% of the range falls into class B for noise, ensuring a quieter driving experience, while rolling resistance, always in classes A and B, translates into optimised consumption and lower emissions, both for internal combustion and electrified vehicles.
But what makes the Scorpion SF3 truly unique is its ability to dynamically adapt to the driving needs of an SUV. The tread has been developed with larger and reinforced blocks, capable of gradually absorbing contact with the asphalt, reducing pressure peaks that would otherwise generate vibrations and noise. The driving sensation is one of fluidity, precision and control, even on long journeys or on less regular surfaces.
The technological heart of the tire, however, beats in its adaptive design. The 3D sipes change shape with wear: from linear they become zig-zag, increasing the ability to retain snow and improving traction even when the tread begins to wear out. An evolution that allows the tire to transform from a winter sipe to an almost summer profile, ensuring brilliant performance when braking and cornering on dry surfaces.
The compound, in turn, is a concentration of innovation. Made with new high-mobility polymers and natural resins, it maintains elasticity even at low temperatures, improving grip on cold and snowy surfaces. The use of artificial intelligence through the Virtual Compounder has allowed Pirelli technicians to select the optimal mix from thousands of combinations. The entire development has seen the simultaneous integration of compound and design, thanks to 3D modeling, creating a harmonious system that works in synergy to obtain constant performance in all conditions.
The new Scorpion All Season SF3 is available in sizes from 17 to 21 inches and can be purchased with the Elect marking, designed to enhance the characteristics of electric and plug-in hybrid cars. Some versions also integrate the Pirelli Noise Cancelling System (PNCS), a technology that significantly reduces the noise perceived inside the passenger compartment.
For those who drive medium and compact cars, the Cinturato All Season SF3 remains available, with sizes from 15 to 20 inches, which has already won recognition from the main industry publications. Here too, advanced technologies such as Seal Inside guarantee continuity of travel in the event of a puncture, covering 85% of the most frequent accidental causes.
With this new proposal, Pirelli demonstrates once again how the evolution of the tire does not stop at the compound or the design, but involves the entire ecosystem of the car. And it does so by speaking directly to motorists, increasingly attentive to safety, efficiency and driving pleasure in every season.
