With the Dutch Grand Prix , scheduled on the Assen circuit from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 June 2025 , the MotoGP world championship is also approaching the halfway point with a firm leader of the general classification, Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team), and with a small group of pursuers ready to take advantage of any misstep by the Spaniard. In addition to his brother Alex (Gresini Racing), second in the general classification at 40 points from the top, Pecco Bagnaia is also looking confidently to the tenth round of the season. The Piedmontese rider, in fact, is the winner of the last two editions of this Grand Prix and, also thanks to the accumulated delay (110 points) compared to the leader of the class, he is almost obliged to climb onto the top step of the podium. In 2024 Jorge Martin finished in second place in both the Sprint and the Sunday race, while this year he is still stuck in the pits waiting to return to full fitness and define his future (with Aprilia, which in the meantime can count on the performances of Marco Bezzecchi , or not). Stable placement in the top five for the two standard-bearers of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Di Giannantonio , while KTM has only Pedro Acosta , eighth in the standings, as its point of reference. Yamaha's stocks are also rising, and in particular Fabio Quartararo 's, against a Honda that, instead, remains close to the top five with the Frenchman Johann Zarco in the saddle and Lucio Cecchinello's Lcr team.
