Autocert by Rina, this is how Arval Italia certifies the condition of its used vehicles

ROME - An added security for consumers who buy a used car. The initiative comes from Arval Italia, a company of the Bnp Paribas group specialized in long-term car rental and mobility solutions, which has launched “AutoCert by Rina”. In practice, it is a certification of the state of use of its used vehicles with the aim of offering an additional advantage in terms of reliability and security for users interested in purchasing a second-hand car, which is constantly increasing. The release of a used car certificate issued according to the Rina methodology, a multinational certification group active in more than seventy countries, represents an innovative project of its kind and an important innovation within a market that has been constantly growing for several years, with Arval among its main players. In fact, 75,000 vehicles were released by Arval on the Italian market in 2024 alone, vehicles that return from long-term rentals, monitored over time through a plan of regular checks at the repairer network and then rented or sold by authorized partners.
“Thanks to the collaboration with Rina, we are further improving the value proposition of our product, being able to offer, today, used car buyers a certification provided by a third-party certification body, which allows greater security to all people who choose a used vehicle for their mobility needs - said Emmanuel Lufray, remarketing director Arval Italia - Our ambition is also to support professional dealers who sell our vehicles to have greater authority on the market, offering their customers a concrete document that certifies the real condition of the vehicle, with a view to maximum transparency”.
“The collaboration with Arval was born from the shared desire to bring greater transparency and reliability to the used market - added Andrea Allosio, certification market development executive director Rina - With AutoCert we combine Rina's technical skills with Arval's innovative vision, offering dealers a certification to evaluate the state of use of a vehicle. A concrete example of how two complementary entities can team up to generate value and trust”.
The AutoCert by Rina certification will be made available free of charge only at professional Italian dealers who are partners of Arval and who request it. (Maurilio Rigo)
