Michelin strengthens its leadership in the all-season segment with two major new products: the MICHELIN CrossClimate 3 and MICHELIN CrossClimate 3 Sport . These two new-generation tires further raise the standards of safety, longevity, and performance, designed to meet the needs of today's market, which is increasingly oriented toward multi-energy and electric vehicles.

The boom of the All Season market

Over the past ten years, the all-season tire market has seen exponential growth, both in Italy and the rest of Europe. From 2014 to 2024, sales increased steadily, attracting a large segment of drivers who prefer a single solution for year-round use. This growth has occurred primarily at the expense of summer tires (approximately 75%), while the impact on the winter segment has been more limited (25%).

MICHELIN CrossClimate 3 Sport: sporty performance, all year round

With the CrossClimate 3 Sport, Michelin introduces a new concept to the market: the all-season sports tire. Designed for high-performance cars—including electric vehicles—this model offers dynamic and precise handling in all conditions, from dry asphalt to wet or snowy roads. Available in 29 sizes from 18 to 21 inches (with another 30 arriving in 2026), the CrossClimate 3 Sport has already been chosen by Alpine to equip the new A390 .

The MICHELIN CrossClimate 3 Sport's strengths
  • Excellent performance on dry and wet surfaces, with optimal control even in winter.
  • Wet performance certified class A (European labelling).
  • 3PMSF approval (Alpine symbol), which guarantees grip on snow.
  • An ideal solution for those who want a single set of high-performance tires all year round.
MICHELIN CrossClimate 3: safety and durability for all seasons

The direct successor to the renowned CrossClimate 2, the new CrossClimate 3 sets the benchmark for those seeking versatility, safety, and durability. Available in 63 sizes (from 16 to 22 inches), it is suitable for a wide range of cars and SUVs, whether internal combustion, hybrid, or electric.

The main advantages of the MICHELIN CrossClimate 3
  • 4% improvement in wet performance compared to the previous model.
  • European label class B for wet braking.
  • 15% increased mileage compared to the CrossClimate 2.
  • 3PMSF approved, for safe use even in severe winter conditions.
  • Optimized for electric vehicles, capable of generating instant torque and greater weight.
The differences between the two versions
  • The CrossClimate 3 Sport relies on Dynamic Response technology, derived from the Pilot Sport tyres, to offer maximum responsiveness and a sporty feel.
  • The CrossClimate 3, on the other hand, uses MAXTOUCH to maximize durability and even wear. The compounds also differ: the Sport model's focuses on grip, while the CrossClimate 3's focuses on balance and longevity.
Production in Italy

Both models are produced entirely in Europe, including in the Michelin plant in Cuneo , considered a centre of excellence for the Group for innovation and industrialisation of the most advanced ranges.
