Lots of 'hot' news at the next Goodwood Festival of Speed

The traditional Festival of Speed (FOS) event, which has been held for 32 years in the splendid and vast estate of Lord March (now Duke of Richmond) in Goodwood, a town located in the district of Chichester, in the county of West Sussex, returns from 10 to 14 July. A true celebration of the excellence of engines, of motor sport, in all its declinations and 'generations' and of the champions of today and especially of yesterday. But also an unmissable opportunity to see hypercars, collector's jewels and prototypes compete against the clock on the famous uphill road of Goodwood Hill. As the organizers point out, the Festival of Speed is the place where enthusiasts will be able to admire for the first time in the various exhibition areas at Goodwood some of the most exclusive cars in the world, many of which will make their dynamic debut on the very occasion. This is the case of the DB12 Volante with which Aston Martin inaugurates a new era for the brand's new-generation grand tourers, raising the bar of what comes out of the Gaydon factory. Its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 delivers 680 hp and allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. Also making its debut at the Festival of Speed is the Vanquish Volante, a completely new super GT equipped with a powerful 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 producing 835 hp and a whopping 1,000 Nm of maximum torque. Under the spotlight, this Aston Martin will be joined by the new DBX S super-SUV - the most powerful version ever - which offers a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 727 hp (535 kW) and 900 Nm. Finally, the dynamic debut of the Valalla hypercar is planned (produced in just 999 units) which is equipped with Formula 1 technology and is powered by a hybrid system that produces 1,079 hp.
The BMW Group will be bringing an impressive squadron of new and excellent models to the 2025 Festival of Speed. In addition to the range of iconic Rolls-Royce models (which are at home at Goodwood), there will be the BMW Speedtop concept, already seen at Ville d'Este, which will be on display in the BMW Individual Lounge. There will also be great interest in the BMW M2 CS, which will make its dynamic debut in the UK - and the incredible experimental electric car Vision Driving Experience which offers an incredible 18,000 Nm of torque. The Mini Street - which includes the Cooper's Corner Shop, the Aceman Barbers, the Countryman Farm Shop, and the JCW Workshop - will instead be showing the latest versions signed John Cooper Works. Eccentrica will also be there with her Diablo restomod which features a carbon-fibre reinforced structure, uprated brakes, the addition of traction control and updates to the original V12. From Honda, in addition to the electric SUV Honda 0 - unveiled in January at CES in Las Vegas - in the Japanese manufacturer's area there will be the Civic Type R 'Ultimate Edition' produced in just 40 units and the Prelude which returns - after leaving in 2001 - as a 2.0-liter hybrid. Strong dynamic character also for the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N which, according to British media, could be joined at Goodwood by another high-performance electric proposal. Land Rover will debut at the Festival of Speed the Defender Trophy Edition which recalls the historic 4x4s of the Camel Trophy series of events and which will be offered with steel rims and Sandy Yellow paint. Close connection with the world of track competitions for two other new products. They are the Lanzante Project 95-59 built to pay homage to the McLaren F1 GTR that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995. And the GMA T33 that Gordon Murray - the former creator of McLaren - will build in 100 units at a price of 1.37 million pounds each. In addition to the Maseratis, MGs and Toyotas, on which ANSA Motori focuses separately, the curiosity of enthusiasts will be attracted by the little-known Praga Bohema, a hypercar of Czech origin with a 700 hp twin-turbo V6 engine. All this while waiting for the other brands present to announce the news that will be revealed in two weeks.
