Iannone brakes late and causes six crashes, three of them hospitalized! Petrucci: "Don't talk to me..."

Andrea Iannone was a protagonist in Hungary. But not in a positive way. The Abruzzo native caused a crash at the first corner immediately after the start of Race 1 of the Superbike World Championship by braking too late. His maneuver led to the crash of six other riders, three of whom ended up in the hospital. The red flag was immediately called after the accident. Iannone was also given a double Long Lap Penalty, to be served at the restart.
A furious Danilo Petrucci (Ducati): "Iannone? It's better if he doesn't talk to me." And again: "He hit me from behind and only had to serve two long-lap penalties. For a rider who crashes six of his opponents, sending three to the hospital and causing me severe shoulder pain, it's not fair that he's restarting."
Iannone shared his explanation on the official Pata Go Eleven team channel: "At the change of direction between Turn 1 and Turn 2, I found myself in the middle. I tried to brake, but the bike fell apart and I couldn't stop. I want to apologize to all the riders and teams involved."
