Dacia sales are in line with expectations. Hybrids are shining. A second electric model will follow in a year.

ROME – Dacia expects to reach 700,000 units sold by 2025, with 356,084 vehicles delivered globally in the first six months of the year, confirming the Romanian manufacturer's excellent performance, with a 4.1% market share for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Hybrids are shining, but Dacia is also focusing on zero-emissions, so much so that a second electric model is expected to follow the Spring in a year.
The 0.7% decline compared to the first half of 2024 is attributable to the fact that from 2025, the Duster in Turkey will be sold under the Renault brand, while with 151,948 units delivered worldwide, the Dacia Sandero remains the most popular model in Europe across all channels and the most purchased car by private individuals since 2017. Also in Europe, Dacia increased sales by 1.1% (308,957 registrations), reaching a 4.5% share, equivalent to ninth place in the passenger car market. At the same time, through its five models, including the new Bigster, the Romanian manufacturer announced the "consolidation of its position on the European podium in private sales, with record-breaking acquisition and loyalty rates."
Growth was particularly evident in electrified vehicles (23.9% of registrations), which in the first half of the year recorded a 14.7% increase compared to the same period last year. Specifically, driven by the Duster, hybrids represent 17.6% of the total (+12.1%). Even more striking is the leap in the Spring (+71% in Europe and +62.5% globally thanks to 19,452 vehicles delivered). As the most accessible full-electric vehicle on the market, it has raised the EV share of Dacia's total sales to 6.3%. This latter figure translates to a +2.6% increase over 2024, while the 108,510 Dusters sold worldwide confirm the Romanian SUV's leading position in the European retail market. In the retail sales sector, Dacia is currently the leading brand in Italy, Portugal, Morocco, Belgium, and Romania.
