Civ 2025: Delbianco also conquers Vallelunga and flies in the standings

The third seasonal appointment of the Dunlop Civ 2025 gave great emotions to the Vallelunga public, present in large numbers in the stands of the track dedicated to Piero Taruffi despite the great heat. On a strictly sporting level, the Roma Capitale round reaffirmed first of all the great moment of form of Alessandro Delbianco , signatory of a double in Superbike and increasingly launched at the top of the standings, but the show on the track, which staged a total of 14 races between championships and trophies, was worthily accompanied by the many side initiatives, starting from the incessant activity of the Minimoto School to get to the blood drive organized with the Italian Red Cross, which granted free entry to the many donors. The abundance of battles between the kerbs truly made everyone present happy, raising even more the anticipation for the next "night" round of Misano on 26-27 July.

Alessandro Delbianco was the absolute protagonist of the Superbike class weekend at Vallelunga. The Yamaha Dmr Racing team rider scored a sumptuous double, beating outgoing champion Michele Pirro in both races, who, with the Ducati of the Barni 51 Racing Lab team, remains his main rival in terms of the championship. In Race-1 he won with a lead of over 7” with the podium completed by Gabriele Giannini (Honda Improve Firenze Motor) over 14” behind the winner; in Race-2, reduced in length from 16 to 10 laps after an initial interruption due to the red flag, he still managed to edge out almost 4” from Pirro and over 14” from the tireless Luca Vitali (Ducati Broncos Team), who was good at securing the lowest step of the podium. At the end of the Rome Capital round , Delbianco therefore rises to 145 points in the Superbike standings, ahead of Pirro with 113, Giannini with 88 and Vitali with 82.

In the Production Bike class, which shares the grid with the premier class, the great protagonist was Riccardo Russo (Bmw Pistard Racing), who had already scored a sensational double in the previous round at Mugello. The expert rider from Campania repeated himself at Vallelunga, taking victory in both Race-1, ahead of Davide Stirpe (Ducati Garage 51 by Dto) and Simone Saltarelli of the Aprilia Revo M2 team, and in Race-2, triumphing ahead of the usual Stirpe and the "other" Simone Saltarelli of the Ducati Broncos team. Russo thus rose to the top of the Production Bike standings , reaching 136 points, with Stirpe at 130 and all the others still under the 100 point threshold.

The Rome Capital round marked the end of Luca Ottaviani 's absolute hegemony over the Supersport 600 Ng class. The Mv Agusta Extreme Service rider remains firmly at the top of the championship, but no longer with full points after the victory of the Spaniard Xavi Artigas (Kawasaki Blackflag Motor Sport) in Race-1 on Saturday ahead of Mattia Rato (Ducati Mesaroli) and Matteo Patacca (Yamaha Bike e Motor). After 7th place in the first race, also the result of particularly unlucky qualifying, Ottaviani then took third place in the new Superpole Race , won again by Artigas ahead of Emanuele Pusceddu (Ducati Kuja Service) while Rato was forced to retire due to a fall. In Race-2 Artigas made it three, winning the showdown with Pusceddu and Rato, with him on the podium in that order, while Ottaviani picked up a "zero" and left the scene halfway through the race. The Supersport 600 Ng standings see a change of guard at the top, with Artigas the new leader with 135 points, Ottaviani second with 125 points and Rato third with 79 points.

The two Moto3 races were both adrenaline-filled, but the podium was the same on both occasions. The winner in the two heats was in fact the Argentine Marco Morelli (2WheelsPoliTo Gp Project), on both occasions in a sprint over the Spaniards Marcos Ruda (Lucky Racing) and Pau Alsina Sanchez (BeOn Sgp Tecnic). It was a weekend to forget for Elia Bartolini (Cr&s Smash 91), who arrived in Vallelunga as the championship leader but only managed a fourth place in Race-1 due to a long lap penalty and then retired in Race-2. As a result of what happened, the Moto3 standings now see Ruda in the lead with 114 points, Bartolini second with 97 points and Valentino Sponga (We Race Pos Corse), twice 5th in Vallelunga, third with 88 points.

In Premoto3 , where all the riders race with the Honda Nsf250R, the victory of Race-1 went to Edoardo Savino (Leopard Academy), called to replace Lorenzo Fino and capable of imposing himself on his teammate Alessandro Aguilar Carballo and Enrico Dal Bosco (Sm Corse Gea Motorsport), with him on the podium, and on the leader Lorenzo Pritelli (Buccimoto Factory) in fourth position. The latter, however, made up for it by winning Race-2 ahead of Aguilar Carballo and the excellent Luana Giuliani (Angeluss Team), again on the podium after similar exploits in Misano and Mugello . In the Premoto3 standings , Pritelli remains firmly in command with 140 points, followed at a safe distance by Aguilar Carballo with 103, Luca Rizzi (We Race Pos Corse) with 98 and Giuliani with 91.

A very determined Bruno Ieraci was the real star of the weekend in the newly formed Sportbike class at Vallelunga. In the first race, the ace of the Triumph Cm team beat the two Spanish riders of the Triumph Sm Real team, David Salvador and Antonio Torres ; in the second he beat Leonardo Carnevali (Aprilia Lr Corse) and Paolo Grassia (Aprilia) to further strengthen his lead in the general standings. In the Sportbike standings , Ieraci leads with 120 points ahead of Grassia with 87 and Mattia Sorrenti (Aprilia Maurer Racing Team), one of the big disappointments of the weekend after having only collected an 8th place in Race-2 and remaining at 85 points.

There were three side trophies included in the program of the Rome Capital round , each of which took to the track for its own race on Sunday morning. In the National Trophy 1000 , the winner was Gabriale Ruiu with the Ducati of the Over 40 Racing team, capable of putting more than 7" between himself and the BMWs of Francesco Ciacci and Paolo Pacitto. In the Yamaha R7 Cup , Federico Iacoi of the Geko Bike team won in the sprint, beating Davis Bergamini by just 57 thousandths and with Marco Pelusi completing the podium. Only 4th was the leader of the standings Manuel Rocca. As for the Pro Honda Cbr600RR Cup , the winner was Diego Giugovaz , already winner of the first round, ahead of Michel Agazzi and Antonio Vallone.
