On the Alpine A390 the audio is guaranteed by Devialet acoustics

It's a sound that even expert ears can hear on board the new Alpine A390. After the A290, the French car manufacturer has once again teamed up with Devialet, a French acoustic engineering company, to develop a custom-made audio system. The acoustic expertise of Devialet, which boasts over 250 patents protecting radical innovations in the field of sound, is the result of over 15 years of cutting-edge engineering and research and development in the field of acoustics. The company was involved in three key phases of the design, namely the sizing of the system and definition of the audio equipment requirements, the contribution of proprietary technologies for signal processing and sound tuning to create up to 5 listening modes. The architecture of the Devialet audio system consists of a dedicated 850-watt amplifier, a 224 mm subwoofer with very low frequencies and 3 front channels (woofer, midrange, tweeter with neodymium magnet), which guarantee excellent sound quality for both music and telephony. In total, there are 13 speakers in the passenger compartment, including a subwoofer and surround speakers in the rear panels to complete the immersive experience. The patented SAM technology guarantees perfect control of the speakers and pure, balanced and high-fidelity sound reproduction, specific to Devialet. The system also offers different listening modes that can be selected according to the user's preferences: Fidelity, Speech, Dynamic, Heavy. In its premium version called Devialet XtremeSound Audio System (standard on the GTS version, optional on the GT), it adds the SPACE immersive mode, with a sound spatialization algorithm specific to Devialet. More demonstrative, it allows you to exploit a wider frequency range, to obtain a higher sound level with very dynamic bass and a very well defined staging. The sound level and balance change according to the speed of the car. The system is combined with the Alpine Driving Sound Sport and Daily engine sound generation, which are transmitted via a dedicated amplifier and are amplified by the audio system.
