BMW M Award 2025, an M2 CS for the fastest driver

The car that will be awarded to the winner of the BMW M Award 2025 was presented at the MotoGP Grand Prix in Assen. It is the M2 CS with Velvet Blue Metallic livery, unveiled at the Dutch event by drivers Brad Binder and Alex Rins. It will be presented to the winner of the BMW M Award 2025 in the final race of the season scheduled for mid-November in Valencia, Spain. The propeller-built sports car will be awarded to the driver who has obtained the highest score at the end of the final qualifying session, based on an initiative that was born in 2003. Powered by a six-cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology, the M2 CS delivers 530 hp through the rear wheels, uses an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission, and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Around 30 kilograms lighter than the base model, thanks to numerous external and internal components in carbon fiber reinforced plastic, it sports forged M light alloy wheels. Currently, Marc Márquez is the rider who has won the most times, seven in a row, from 2013 to 2019, the coveted prize that, for the last three years, has gone to Francesco Bagnaia. The list of winners, over time, is quite illustrious, and includes riders of the caliber of Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo, Fabio Quartararo, Sete Gibernau and Nicky Hayden.
