MotoGP. Marc Marquez wins the sprint race in Austria ahead of his brother Alex.

Having started well this Saturday at the Red Bull Ring, unlike his teammate Francesco Bagnaia, Marc Marquez (Ducatti) once again dominated the sprint race in Austria.
The Spaniard, a six-time MotoGP world champion, beat his brother Alex (Ducati-Gresini), whom he overtook with five laps to go to secure his first premier class victory on this track . Another Spaniard, Pedro Acosta (KTM), took third place.

Starting from pole position at the Red Bull Ring, Italian Marco Bezzecchi finished fourth on his Aprilia.
The day's biggest loser, Italy's two-time world champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), has retired. Third on the grid, the Italian completely bungled his start, dropping to 14th place in the first few hundred meters of the race.
Unable to move up the rankings, the driver threw in the towel mid-race. The reason for his retirement is not yet known.
Zarco in the pointsFrenchman Johann Zarco (Honda-LCR) finished 9th , ahead of reigning champion Jorge Martin (Aprilia) and the other Frenchman on the grid, 2021 world champion Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), in 11th .
In the riders' championship, Marc Marquez, winner of 12 of the 13 sprints contested since the start of the season, now has a lead of 123 points over his younger brother Alex, a gap that rises to 180 points with the third-placed rider, his Ducati teammate Bagnaia.
