INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- Kam Curl's 33-yard fumble return for a touchdown helped the Los Angeles Rams secure a 20-15 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Kyren Williams contributed with 76 rushing yards and two touchdowns, marking his ninth consecutive game with a rushing score.
After Aidan O'Connell suffered a hand injury, Gardner Minshew took over as the Raiders’ quarterback but struggled against a tough Rams defense, which forced four turnovers, including interceptions from Jaylen McCollough and Cobie Durant. McCollough made a critical game-sealing interception late in the game.
The Rams (2-4) snapped a two-game losing streak, with quarterback Matthew Stafford passing for 154 yards. The Raiders (2-5) faced challenges offensively, managing only five field goals from Daniel Carlson after failing to capitalize in the red zone.
Las Vegas fell behind 20-6 in the third quarter but attempted a comeback with late drives, yet ended up unable to score a touchdown. They settled for a field goal, leaving them trailing 20-12.
Despite trading star receiver Davante Adams and facing injuries, Minshew relied heavily on rookie tight end Brock Bowers, who caught 10 passes for 93 yards. The Rams' defense was a significant factor, forcing key turnovers that dictated the game’s momentum.
The Rams and Raiders continue their seasons with the Rams hosting the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, while the Raiders will face the Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday.
